Welcome to The Southern Cozy Kitchen! I’m a Southern-born, professionally trained chef, baker, and all-around lover of good food from Birmingham, Alabama. But most importantly, I’m a husband, a dad, and someone who believes that the best memories are made in the kitchen—with a full plate and a full heart.


Why I Started This Blog


I grew up in a family where food was love. My mama and daddy were always cooking and baking, and at every family gathering, my grandparents, aunts, and uncles took turns grilling, stirring, and passing down recipes. It was in those moments, surrounded by laughter and the smell of something delicious, that my passion for Southern cooking was born.


I’ve spent years working as a chef, baker, and cake artist—starting in country clubs, moving to bakeries, and even decorating cakes at Publix before becoming a Pastry Chef at one of Alabama’s largest hospitals. But as much as I love what I do, my biggest priority is family. I started The Southern Cozy Kitchen so I could be more present, create a legacy for my kids, and share the flavors of home with y’all.
